Michael Jackson - Thriller (Full version, 13 min)

ENJOY THIS MASTERPIECE- I WISH ENTERTAINERS OF TODAY COULD ACTUALLY TELL STORIES WITH THEIR VIDEOS INSTEAD OF HAVING HALF-NAKED WOMEN SHAKING THEIR BOOTY'S AND THEY THINK THAT IS GOOD ENOUGH

Micheal Jackson: A Thriller in Life and Death

The sudden and unfortunate death of 'The King of Pop' Micheal Joseph Jackson, has left me in awe of the man who the media called 'Wacko Jacko'. Since his passing, I cannot get it out of my head that he and I shared the same birth date and therefore felt an affinity towards him that i cannot explain.

Born in Gary, Indiana on 29 August 1958, Micheal Jackson was destined for great things. he began his singing career with his brothers in the Jackson Five. But even then his star shone brighter than the rest. When he hooked up with Quincy Jones, to his record his first solo album in 1979- Off The Wall- the rest as they say is history. Since his death, media has dedicated an unprecedented amount of coverage never seen towards one individual.

The Internet through the death of Micheal Jackson, received the credibility it has so craved, with TMZ, an online website being the first media outlet to break the news. Google reportedly shut down searches on Micheal Jackson as the system felt that it was under attack with so many searches and hits on MJ.

Micheal Jackson truely was a legend and his music will live on forever!!!!!!!!!

Almost Does'nt Count

Like R-NB songstress Brandy's song goes 'Almost Doesn't Count'. This was the feeling that i had when Bafana Bafana lost to Spain in a thrilling game for a third place finish in the FIFA Confederation Cup. As the host country, Bafana Bafana lost 3-2 in extra time to the Spaniard's, in a game which had me sitting on the edge of my seat.

However as much as we lost, the boys gave me hope that they can actually hear Joel Santana's instructions in Portuguese and there was a desire and fire that i saw not only in their footwork but also in their eyes, which i haven't seen in a long time.

The boys have definitely come a long way and with some more determination, we will go from saying 'oh shame ba zamile (oh shame they tried)' to saying 'Yes we did'.

They must focus on their weaknesses such as building up their stamina because towards the end they were dog tired and it showed unlike the Spaniards who still had the power to push on and put in the killer last goal. Coach Santana after the game said "We are progressing on the right track but we are not there yet. We have to cut out the type of mistakes that cost us goals against Brazil and Spain."

All in all well done boys and we'll show the world next year what we made of in the 2010 World Cup. The closing ceremony was spectacular and to all the dommsayers out there who said we could'nt host this Confederation's Cup, eat your hearts out!

Hooked on Hookers

The Egyptian soccer team, 'The Mighty Pharaohs' were brought to their knees when five players were allegedly robbed of money and other valuable possesions from their rooms, after their 1-0 win over Italy in the Confederations Cup tournament being held in South Africa at the moment.

When the story broke, it was initially reported that when the team arrived after their game at the hotel, that is when they realised that cash and other valuables had been stolen from their rooms. Immediately the media both locally and internationally jumped on this as an indication that crime was really out of control in South Africa, once again putting a dark cloud on South Africa's image in the world.

However over the weekend, reports began surfacing that the players had not being robbed during the game as alleged, but had supposedly brought through prostitutes from the Rosebank area for a night of 'partying and womanising' as reported in the Sunday Independent and City Press which carried similar claims.

Of course the Egyptian team was quick to dismiss these reports going as far as saying that the police must apolgise for statements by police sources insinuating that the robbery claims were false. The German Press agency dpa, qouted the Chairman of the Egyptian Football Federaion, Samir Zahir, as saying that "I think that they (newspaper sources) said that to distract from the main issue which is security, by creating a scandal for the Egyptian team". No disrespect intended, but this I must say sounds a bit far fetched as i think a scandal involving the Brazillian team would be more juicier and sell more stories than the Egyptian team.

According to The Star newspaper all safes in the rooms are connected to a central computer and access to all rooms is strictly monitored and there were no signs of forced entry or any tampering with the safes. This begs the questions of how and when did the 'robbery' take place.
The team is due to be questioned by police today over the incident and only when the investigation is completed will the real truth be exposed.

Should the investigation reveal that there was no robbery, and instead theft took place, due to their negligence when having female visitors, I hope that the players involved will handle the situation like real gentleman and not try and drag the name of South Africa through the mud, in a quest to protect their personal deeds, no matter how hard it may be for their wives and girlfriends to swallow the truth!!

Spoof Spinner

I have a great love for jokes and people with the creative minds to create long weaving tales of hilarious stories which are truely out of this world. This by the way has nothing to do with me being on the path of being a spin docter...

I came across a very intriguing story 'Obama Kills Fly During TV Interview-PETA Outraged'. You be the judge whether Obama is fit to lead.....

Washington, DC - As a result of President Obama executing a fly during a CNBC television interview, calls came in from the PETA organization, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, for the President's immediate resignation."It's an outrage," stated PETA representative Susan Quonset Hut. "This President should be held accountable for his public behavior. He should resign immediately."Calls came in from world leaders condemning Obama's actions although they stopped short of telling him to resign.Said Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, "I strongly condemn Mr. Obama's actions but I stop short of telling him to resign."Conservative senator, John McCain, was quick in his criticism of the President. "For a man that professes to be a 'green' President, one who marshals resources responsibily, I'm confounded by his actions of throwing the fly away after he killed it. He should have eaten it instead."Even the President's wife, Michelle Obama, had something to say about it,"Quite frankly, when I married Barack I thought he struck me as the kind of gentleman that would never hurt a fly. I'm extremely disappointed that I've been proven wrong."When told of Ms. Obama's response, President Obama stated, "Oh great guys. I guess I'm in the doghouse now. Hehehe. Better make up the couch for bed in the Oval Office tonight. She'll be locking the White House doors on me again."And with that comment he invited the White House press corp to the Oval office for poker, pizza and beer after work. Sweet!

Top Story of The Week

The SABC this week once again dominated the local news. The latest coverage has centered on the resignations of some Board members and issues with the production industry, who recently marched to the SABC in Auckland Park, to put across their concerns, and the planned strike by the unions at the organisation.

The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration gave the unions permission to embark on a protected strike as an agreement with SABC management over the 12.2% increase wanted by the unions could not be reached. The 12.2 wanted by unions is in line with the 3 year multi-term agreement signed by both parties.

The SABC has indicated that beacuse of the financial situation it is facing it can only afford 8.5%.

The strike by unions would have an even bigger negative effect as it would not only affect the SABC, but the country as a whole.

With so many challenges facing the public broadcaster at the moment, it is about time that governement has deemed it fit to fully assist the public broadcaster, especially with its skewed funding model.
